Meet Robyn
Robyn is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Lakehead University.
She provides counselling to children, adolescents, and adults, supporting clients through a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and stress.
At Autumnwood Counselling, Robyn is particularly passionate about supporting women as they navigate the emotional and psychological challenges that can arise during major life transitions, including perimenopause. She recognizes that changes during this stage of life can affect mood, stress, relationships, confidence, identity, and overall well-being. Robyn offers a compassionate space where women can explore these changes, develop effective coping strategies, and feel supported as they move through this often-overlooked transition.
Robyn’s therapeutic approach is grounded in warmth, empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. She draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT. She works collaboratively with each client to understand their unique experiences, strengths, and goals, while providing practical tools to support meaningful and lasting change.
Robyn is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Whether supporting a young person navigating anxiety or life changes, an adult working through grief or trauma, or a woman experiencing the emotional and psychological challenges of perimenopause. She also supports women through the postpartum journey into parenthood. Robyn strives to help each client feel more confident, connected, and equipped to move forward.
