Meet Nolan
Nolan is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) completing his Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa.
He is currently completing his practicum at Autumnwood Counselling, under the supervision of Heather Witiluk, MSW, RSW, PMH-C, CCH. He has experience supporting individuals with a wide variety of cultural backgrounds and mental health struggles. He is especially interested in supporting individuals dealing with symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and trauma, as well as supporting dads through the unique challenges of fatherhood.
Nolan’s approach to therapy is primarily based in Person-Centred Therapy, and he strives to provide a warm, non-judgemental, trusting, and supportive space for clients to explore their issues. He works in collaboration with his clients to ensure that they are met where they are at and that support is tailored to their needs and goals. He draws from other evidence-based approaches and interventions to best support his clients, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Nolan primarily works in-person but can provide virtual services as needed.
